Christopher S. Little, MD

Dr. Christopher Little is a third-generation native of Sarasota. He completed his undergraduate degree, doctorate degree, and residency at the University of Florida. Dr. Little’s training included managing complex and diverse populations at Florida’s flagship research and medical training institution, where he had access to provide cutting-edge and evidence-based medicine. His extensive training is well matched to the management of complex medical conditions and the development of personalized health maintenance programs.

Dr. Little graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida and is well-published in this area. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine also from the University of Florida and completed his internal medicine training and residency at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida. He was awarded the Timothy H. Smith Memorial Award for Excellence in Ambulatory Medicine. He was recognized for his “humility and commitment to general Internal Medicine, positive and empathetic attitude with patients and faculty and for being a compassionate, patient, excellent teacher, and a wonderful listener.” Dr. Little is credentialed at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

He appreciates being back in Sarasota with his wife Claire, a local periodontist, also a native Floridian and University of Florida graduate. Together they are avid Gator athletics fans and share a love of fishing, SCUBA diving, and many other outdoor pursuits. Dr. Little believes forging sincere connections with every individual under his care is paramount. This personalized method of practice built on trust and expertise results in the most profound impact. He looks forward to providing patients with the health and well-being they deserve for years ahead.

As a concierge physician, I am committed to being a partner in my patients' medical care. It is essential to understanding their unique circumstances to prioritize and provide short and long-term medical needs. I believe the patient-physician relationship is built through trust and open and honest communication, is paramount to quality. This forms the foundation of my practice philosophy. I joined Sarasota Personal Medicine to provide the highest quality of care and develop authentic and lasting patient-centered relationships—a precedent that Dr. Fineman established for this practice.
